Another big lie procrastinators indulge in is that time pressure makes them more creative. Unfortunately they do not turn out to be more creative; they only feel that way. They squander their resources. However I have been humbled by a new insight recently as I am challenged with balancing many goals and accumulated lists of tasks. The truth is, my "busyness" is a form of procrastination that is just as overwhelming as the procrastinator that puts things off. I just have to start making priorities and letting the "small stuff" melt away. I also have to learn to delegate with trust and know that my supporters are talented and creative people who will solve problems and achieve successes in their own way and in their own time.
